Hi Michael, Frank and others,
I am preparing a kit for coming ITF, but still can't make it because of BOP.
I was flying 3 youngsters this afternoon (5.30 PM). They were flying nicely
about 35 mins then believe me or not there are 3 peregrine falcons came. My
birds were flying in dot height. 2 Falcons start chasing from dot and bring
them down in medium height.
In a minute 2 babies being grabbed by 2 Falcons and set down on
tale-communication tower, which is near to my place. The other Falcon was
just hanging around top of my loft for while and after 15-20 mins later when
my last baby was returning home, he being chased again and ripped him off.
Lucky he is still alive.
See the problem in here (Melbourne) it is really hard to make a kit.
Specially near my area. The reason I am telling this to you guys cause lots
of people thinks we don't know how to fly or we don't fly our birds which is
not correct. There would be minor people who don't fly their birds in
regular bases, but rest of us (AFTU member) do really try to make a kit to
fly.
I lost in total 13 babies in 3-4 weeks time and out of 13 babies 10 being
taken in front of me, other 2 being chased but didn't see them taken by
Falcon. I just lost 1 baby during the training time. Most of the babies were
6 weeks old and they do fly pretty well, I should say.
Here are the pictures of the baby which being ripped off.
Cheers.............Shahed
