What I can gather Wesley has had his Billing ham birds since1960 all his
birds locked in one hut and left to breed at will, brother to sister none
stop and so on, my opinion is maybe the birds that bred never got to fly and
never were tried fly wise or just to inbred, who knows?? Wesley is a
gentleman of the sport and I think he is in his 80s and still keeping his
tips, god bless him. Sams birds were at their peak from the 1930s until
1960s and held a lot of records from the 30s Sam wound not part with his
birds, his Nephew George Marlow got his birds and started to win in the
nationals also Cyril Meredith had his birds and flew them well , Ken Brown,
Jack Heaton ,and Billy Brown all had them, I be leave 40 young birds came to
the Willenhall club as a gift to the club, off Wesley but none are at the
club now, never make the grade .,Jimmy Johnson has a close family of dark
checkers look like velvet and small in type he has had them for years . I
have had the Billing ham birds got them from Jack Heaton in the 70s but my
pal George Lazzari got them off me, and he crossed them with the Manchester
blues of Croppers and flew very well, Neen jump in any time and anybody
ells as this is a talking site for the tip flyer we all learn buy talking
Kind Regards Barney
