Good question,

Its really quite simple, and you have really already addressed this one
quite nicely.

As with your thoughts, mine are the same and that is that performance of any
kind is more challenging for the simple reason that it can not be seen on
the perch !! Fancy pigeons can be seen for what they are judged for without
to much trouble as we all know, but performance weather it be homers or
rollers or tipplers or any other endurance Breed can only be judged in the
sky, and that's where it all comes to a grinding halt for those that believe
otherwise.

My friend, if we all could just look at the very best every time we viewed a
bird, hell we all would have the very best birds in the world, and where
would that leave us ?? Hell, we would have nothing to do LOL !!
