It is clear to me that this breed of performance pigeon can be historically
claimed to have been created in England! Yes crosses were used many years
ago with different breeds to achieve the desired performance and type
required to achieve the results that without question is today the English
Tippler! As with any breed of bird or animal kept by man today it was
through crossing and selecting only the traits that were desired that any
breed of animal created for a specific purpose exists today! The argument I
would make here is that the word English Tippler are words that describe an
established breed of endurance/ performance bird! To me the name is a
reference to the breeds' origins, ENGLAND! It is a breed whether some like
it or not! Many fanciers try to recreate it every which way they can think
of. Some of these attempts can be seen by your own eyes. And in my opinion
these birds are highly sought after by a few . Sadly, not all have the
skills or discipline to improve the breed, as it is no matter how they
try. This forum has a few well meaning people who want to offer help and
information for us, but its the ability to master proper breeding and flying
techniques that is so elusive to them that they try to reinvent the wheel!.
If only the mediocre English Tippler would lose itself like the racing homer
that can't find its way home, it would be so much easier!.
