Hi Guys, has anyone here used or is using Rollers as droppers? I also raise
and fly Birmingham Rollers and have been using them to drop my E Tipplers! I
used to use Crested Helmets as droppers but found the Rollers to be much
more efficient to get the tipplers down. I fly my young Rollers every
morning between 6.30- 7.00am for about an 1.5 hrs. I put the young tipplers
in with the young rollers for a few days and feed them together to get them
to realize that when the rollers are fed they will be fed ! I then put out
the young tipplers that I will train with the young rollers to settle them
just before dusk I do not allow them to fly with the Rollers at any time
after they are settled! Since I have been using rollers to help settle the
tipplers I have not lost one single young tippler! When I am satisfied that
the young tipplers are food trained to the Rollers and I am confident that
they are settled I put them in their separate pens for the flight
training process. Works for me just wondered if anyone else here uses or
has tried this method?
