Passing of Kathy Zovich

It is with the greatest of sadness that we must let everyone know of the passing of a great mother and wife, Kathy Zovich, wife of long-time Tipplerman Oskar Zovich of Toronto Canada on July 10th, 2011. Kathy is remembered by each and every visitor to the house as an exceptionally hospitable and amicable individual who supported her husband in every way. Kathy was an exceedingly caring person who enjoyed the chance to converse with anyone on any subject including the pigeons. Visitors to her home were always treated with the top-notch hospitality that quickly became her trademark. She was a friend to all pigeon men alike. Even more so, she was a loving companion and true friend to her husband, Oskar. At the Zovich home, she was never more than a few feet away catering to any need should it arise.

As behind every successful man there is a great woman. Kathy Zovich was that woman. Shoulder to shoulder Kathy supported Oskar on every step for over 40 years. Throughout those years, Kathy would be instrumental in assisting Oskar with the releasing of birds at the appropriate time and keeping watch for the birds high in the sky. Few wives can claim to have the devotion that she had for her husband's interests as she demonstrated on many occasions. Simply put, Kathy was a true fighter against the illness that would present the greatest challenge of her life. We can only marvel at her courage.

She will be missed not only by all of us who knew her personally, but also by those who knew her indirectly. Suffering greatly at this time is our great friend Oskar and the Zovich family. Our hearts and prayers extend to all in the Zovich family who are in pain at this time. Our condolences could never fully convey the deepest sympathy we have for this saddest time in the life of one of our own, Oskar Zovich.
