The racing pigeon was developed many years ago, and generally considered
from a few different types of pigeon as history has showed us. The true
meaning of Hybrid is one of a creature that is sterile, and unable to
reproduce "itself", like the Mule. This is obviously not the case of the
modern Homer or the Tippler as it also is the creation of different types of
pigeon way back when.

He also claims it is not a "Pure Breed" at all. The definition of "Breed" is
one that claims: "a group of domestic animals that possess a large number of
common genes, both dominant and recessive" and when bred together they pass
on uniform traits and characteristics to their offspring, and this ability
is known as ""Breeding True", a ""definitive"" requirement for a breed !
