Hi Michael,
The solid-door box at the bottom is for Droppers. Actually the door is made
from ventilation door. So the kits (Tipplers) can't see Droppers until the
feeding time.
The green feeders I use for breeders and individual kit boxes. I give food
once a day with droppers (at night with light on) and if I give food in
individual kit box it doesn't spilt, because they are hungry and eat
everything.
In breeders section I use those feeder but only 3 of my pair spilt the grain
(but not too much), rest of the pairs are all right so far (they don't spilt
grain from the feeder). So at the end I don't loss so much grain (maybe one
and half kg in total per breeding season). I breed my birds only for 3-4
months normally in a year.
These days there are many different types of feeder down here (Melbourne).
There is a feeder which comes with extra cove on top of the feeders.
Here are some feeder's pictures which I use for my birds. I didn't use the
red feeder yet.
Cheers.............Shahed
