Attached is the birds in question. I found the photo. They were so young
and innocent here. But soon they took off to be a tremendous group of
kitters, I recall their being extremely attached to one another. Have you
ever seen that trait in rounds? I've noticed it here and there, some rounds
being close-knit and tight with one another. Caused these ones to be
kitting almost on their 2nd time up. By the third time they were described
as I told you earlier, and all together flew off into the sunset.

That would be great to see Michael...do post a photo.
I've been there too, more times than I care to admit....waiting by the loft
and staring at the sky as the sun fades and you know not a single bird will
return tonight or any other night. My losses are usually in bunches sad to
say.

Luka,

You and I know the feeling... I think those were my words, and everyone
thought I was crazy to see those pigeons. I have a photo of those birds that
I took from the pen before losing them. I'll have to find that photo.

Oi Danny that is some thunderstorm....I guess you rolled the dice and came
up snake eyes :-)
Sounds like you are confident they will be back.....and I'm sure you're
right.
I cannot tell you how many times this has happened to me with bad results
but I do remember a team of 4 youngsters (5th time out) flying in late
afternoon and it came......the wind was so strong the trees were bent at a
90 degree angle. I thought for sure I lost the entire kit. It lasted only
about 25 minutes but after it cleared the little buggers were still going
and ended up dropping at dusk to the lights as if nothing ever happened. I
remember yelling throughout the house to my daughter " there they
are....there they are".
What a feeling that is when you think all is lost. Hope you get to say the
same mate.

Hi Guys,
I had a kit of three up this morning, there was talk of a thunderstorm and
heavy rain as well. Well when I let them out it was clear blue sky, and a
lovely morning. Then within a matter of half and hour she rolled in. The
kit was high in the pins.
tried dropping the kit they came down half way, but then kept raking. No
sign of them at the moment, Most likely they have been blown down with the
wind and the rain. I am sure they will be back sometime today when the sky
clears up. Here are some pictures of what they were flying in. It is pitch
black at the moment, with a lot of thunder and lightning. Fingers crossed.
Cheers, Danny.
