These photos 'n info may help or not... :-)
The first photo is from an article titled Some Thoughts On Breeding by Harry
Shannon in the NTU Yearbook of 1987.
The other photo is from Harry and appeared in the FTS newsletter August
2004.

The photos show that Harry has had Tipplers with white markings for over 20
years and of course we already know that the colors are from the Tipplers he
started his family with over 30 years ago. And if one has a pigeon with
just one white feather, he can probably get another 'n another 'n another 'n
so on. As one can see; there's more than enough ammunition in the early
Tipplers. And as one can also see; there's more than enough carried through
to the later kit as well.

Assuming what one's Tipplers look like form only looking at another's loft
of the same family is folly. I remember Richard Seabridge writing in his
booklet that he always ended up with blue checks and blue bars to fly
because everyone wanted the other colors... :-)
