Here is an example of what i am talking about, pics taken yesterday evening
and birds heavy in moult.

The solid blue has the tick against the eye, and nothing else on the bird.
By breeding from these birds, and over a period of time, has increased the
amount of whiteness to what you see with the other bird in the pic.

This was not a deliberate thing i attempted to do, more stumbled upon it, if
the truth was known.

I noticed over a period of years, that the odd one or two nests seem to
have yb's with more prominent white ticks, and an odd white flight or
two.....and again, when i paired these together, noticed i was getting even
more whiteness...and one particular year a couple of pairs i had....bred a
lot of white faced yb,s in the nest, and this is how they all came about.

When i started to realise what what happening, i checked through my breeding
books, and all the birds that where in the breeding lines for these white
faces, all had a white tick or a white rump feather....and like i say was
stumbled upon...The breeding behind the blues, did not have any traces of
solid white contained within, and all now developed from them tiny white
flecks.
