As you can see from the band numbers, NTU hens are 8 and ten years old but they are still in good health and breeding condition.The rest of the breeding hens, except for one, are from them. They are producing three or four rounds of eggs anually with a high percentage of eggs hatched. This provides more than enough young birds for my purposes.
